As a security precaution, new passwords are sent to the email address of the person requesting a reset. Otherwise, anyone knowing the username of another delegate could change their password maliciously, in order to prevent access or log into their account. Once a delegate has received the new password, they can log in and change it to something more familiar, via their account area.
